Download Process for R4i SDHC Card (Red Box)
• Step 1 – Select the BOTTOM software box from the TWO stated on the website.
• Step 2 – Left click on the BOTTOM software box.
A file download window will appear.
• Step 3 – Left click save. A save as window should appear.
• Step 4 – Ensure save in location that reads Desktop. Left click save, A download
window should now appear with the download progress on show.
• Step 5 – When download is complete left click open. Now you should have a window
that reads R4-i English V1.08b in top left.
• Step 6 – Right click on the R4-i English V1.08b folder and select open to show four
software files... Moonmemo, Moonshl2, r4i menu and r4.dat
• Step 7 - Insert the micro SD card into card reader and insert the card reader into the USB port in your
computer. A removable disk window will show on the screen.
You should now have 2 windows open, ensure that you keep both of the windows open.
• Step 8 – If you are using a blank memory card go straight to step 12 if your memory
• card contains other info follow all remaining steps.
• Step 9 – Left click start, left click my computer, now right click the icon that reads
• removable disk on the drop down menu please click on format.
• Step 10 – Please ensure that the file system is set to FAT 32. Left click and select quick format once you
have selected this click start, a warning window should appear that will read that a format will erase all the
data on the card, click ok, once format is complete click ok and close format window.
• Step 11 – Right click removable disk icon and select open from the drop down menu.
You should now have 2 windows open one blank and one with the r4i software in it.
• Step 12 – Select R4-i English V1.08b window, left click + hold + drag Moonmemo
into blank window. Repeat for other 3 files
• Step 13 – Remove the USB reader and window will close. Close down remaining window.
You have now successfully downloaded the software for your R4i for use
with a Nintendo DSi.
Step 14- remove the Micro SD from the USB card reader and place Micro SD card into R4i.
Insert R4i into the DSi and switch on, the DSi will now be ready for use.
Please Note
When wishing to place any type of entertainment file on your R4 please follow these two steps.
Step 1 – Insert Micro SD back into the USB card reader and place into the USB port of the computer,
a removable disk window will appear.
Step2 – Drag and drop any entertainment file that you require for your R4 card into the blank area of the
removable disk window.
Please note that nothing is to be placed inside any of the software files on view in the removable disk window.
Repeat step 15 and enjoy.
